An Update from MAG

To help us feel involved in mission, both home and abroad, the Mission Action Group would like to keep you informed of organisations which have been supported by our church tithes.

Recent donations have been made to two organisations supported by Churches Together in Penzance Area:

  1. Breakfast Project — who give breakfast to the homeless 5 days a week;
  2. Street Pastors — who are out on the streets at weekends helping to keep people safe.

There is also going to be a donation to support the assemblies at Humphry Davy School, which are organised by the Rev Howard Peskett.

We have many members of our church congregation who are involved in these works who we are sure would value our prayers.

We have also sent a donation to Samaritan’s Purse in response to their appeal on behalf of victims of the recent disaster in Indonesia. Samaritan’s Purse is working on the ground and partnering with local churches to help people after a devastating earthquake and tsunami hit the island of Sulawesi. They ask us to pray for those suffering in Indonesia and to pray that, during this tragedy, God’s love will be shown in action to families in desperate need.
