Today is the first Sunday of advent:-

Galatians 4:4 “But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children”.

Services -: December 5th 9.15 Tony Jasper 10.45 Rev Ward

Please note change of service times . From December there will be changes in the timings of our services. Our classical Church service will now be 9.15 am and the contemporary service will be at 10.45 am.

Sunday 12th December “Light a Candle for a loved one” service is being held at Chapel Street 4.30 - 5.30 pm. There are invites in the foyer. This is an opportunity to invite friends and neighbours to a remembrance and thanksgiving service

For Prayer

  • Alice Mead (who attends the 11am service) has asked for prayer for her forthcoming visit to Africa to see her family. Please pray for safety on the flights and for protection from Covid

  • Mary Holland is now in Falmouth hospital after having a fall.

  • Please continue to remember in your prayers all those in our Church who are bereaved.

  • Stationing-The Connexional stationing committee were unsuccessful in finding a match for our circuit with a presbyter for the St Just/Newlyn section of our circuit. There will be a further meeting next week. There will be a zoom prayer meeting on Monday & Tuesday at 9am for 30 minutes. It would be great if you could join. Please contact Mary Bennetts or Doreen for the details.

A funeral service will be held in Chapel Street on Wednesday December 1st, commencing at 2pm for Mr Phillip Bond.

Rachel Bennetts ( Mary & John’s daughter) is doing an Advent quiet day on Dec 2nd on zoom. If you would like details contact Mary or John Bennetts..

Please note---The Coffee morning for December 18th is cancelled as the Chapel is in use by a group preparing a concert.

It has been decided not to have Christingles on Christmas eve.

Wednesday December 15th at 10 am We are hoping to meet and decorate the Chapel. Your help would be greatly appreciated. There will also be coffee served.

Thursday December 16 th. The Little fishes will be in the Chapel in the morning. Please pray for that time.

Christmas Eve- There will be a carols service at Chapel Street. At 6pm.

11.30pm Midnight communion at Wesley Rock

Christmas Day there is a service at Chapel Street at 10.30 am.

Help Needed.

There is another cleaner needed can you please let Beverly know if you can help.

BIBLE READERS-Could you offer to read the lesson at the 9.30 service. Please could you let Ralph or Doreen know if you would like to do this.

Welcomers- Thanks for all those who have offered to welcome we need more for the first service please.

Help please- Thank you to all who have offered to count collection after the second service. A few more are needed. Please you let Paul Symons know if you can help.

Thank You- Thank you to all who have offered to help with serving teas and coffees after the service at 10.45. There is a rota in the foyer.

May Carson and Molly Hall send their greetings to the Church family and that us for the flowers that they received.
