3rd Sunday of Advent

Preachers- December 19th- 9.15 Rev Ward – Communion 10.45 Rev Ward

Sunday 12th December “Light a Candle for a loved one” service is being held at Chapel Street today at 4.30 - 5.30 pm. There are invites in the foyer. This is an opportunity to invite friends and neighbours to a remembrance and thanksgiving service.

Wednesday December 15th at 10 am- We are hoping to meet and decorate the Chapel. Your help would be greatly appreciated. There will also be coffee served.

Thursday December 16th. The Little Fshes will be in the Chapel in the morning. Please pray.

Christmas services

Christmas Eve- There will be a carols service at Chapel Street at 6pm.

There will be a retiring collection for" Medair", a Christian organisation who are transporting Covid vaccines to undeveloped countries, and the CTIPA-Breakfast project.

11.30pm Midnight communion at Wesley Rock.

Christmas Day there is a service at Chapel Street at 10.30 am.

MESSIAH-By the Duchy Singers and others. Saturday 18th December 2021 7 pm in CSMC.

For Prayer

  • CTIPA- The food bank would appreciate your prayers. It is getting very busy. Please pray that there are enough helpers who keep well also that there are enough food and Christmas goods to distribute.
  • Pray that those who are coming into our Chapel for concerts, services and other events over this Christmas period will sense God's presence in a special way.
  • Please continue to remember in your prayers all those in our Church who are bereaved.

Thank you-Mary Holland says “Thank you” for thoughts and prayers during her hospital stay. She hopes to see everyone soon.

URGENT-Help Needed. More cleaners are urgently needed. Can you please let Beverly know if you can help.

BIBLE READERS-Could you offer to read the lesson at the 9.30 service. Please could you let Ralph or Doreen know if you would like to do this. Thank you to those who have already offered.

Welcomers- Thanks for all those who have offered to welcome. We need more for the first service please.

Stamps As Christmas approaches and we get some 'proper ' mail -please can you save the stamps. There is a section in the pigeon holes for them.

Help please- Thank you to all who have offered to count collection after the second service. A few more are needed. Help is needed especially to count the collection on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Children It is lovely to see the children in Church on Sundays. In the new year, we would like to have an activity sheet or similar may be based on the sermon that they could do. Is there anyone who would like to do prepare this? Please let Doreen know if you can help.

Prayer-This is a message from Revd Graham Thompson, co-chair of the Cornwall District and next year's President of Conference, As our nation - along with the rest of the world - continues to wrestle with the effects and uncertainties caused by Covid19, we are calling the Region to prayer on Epiphany, 6th January 2022. Please will you join us in setting aside some time on 6th January 2022 - alone or with others.
