For Prayer

  • Please pray for the situation in Ukraine.
  • Pray for Gill Ostin continues her treatment.
  • Please pray for Mary Holland who is still in West Cornwall waiting to get home after having a heart stent inserted.
  • Bill Edwards is also in Treliske waiting to go to Derriford for treatment.

Help Please

  • Cleaners-Please can you help? There is a great shortage of people to help with cleaning the Church. It involves being part of a team and cleaning every 2 to 3 months if we have adequate people.
  • Collection Counting-There is a need for one more person to count the collection after the 10.45 service on a weekly basis and 2 more for the 5-week months and as reserves. If interested can see Paul Symons instructions and guidance.
  • Flower rota: - Thanks to all those who have volunteered to take a turn on the flower rota, but there are still some spaces. Can you help?.
  • Little Fishes- Thanks to those who have offered help to Little Fishes. There is a need for someone who can sit and welcome the families and register them on arrival. There is no Little Fishes March 3rd.

What’s On

  • Home Groups- There are home groups running. Are you interested in joining one or starting one ? If so talk to Ralph or one of the Stewards.
  • Monthly Breakfast-The next one is Monday 7th March. At Family Hangout on the terrace next to Barclays Bank. For more information see Marie T
  • Coffee mornings- Coffee mornings start on March 5th. There is a list to be completed on the welcome desk if you would like to host a coffee morning which is held 10.30-12 in the foyer.
  • Concert - A fresh series concerts given by The Chapel Street Ensemble will start on Sunday March 6th with a short, FREE 'trailer'. In the Chapel. An attractive, varied, informally introduced programme will include movements from pieces by Jonathan Dove, Finzi, Elgar, Brahms and Humperdinck. The concert will last from All the proceeds from any audience donations will go to West Cornwall Women’s Aid. All are welcome. Do invite your friends and neighbours; it will be an ideal introduction to classical music for those who might not normally attend!
  • High Street. - Tuesday 1st March 11am to 1pm Coffee Morning. 11am to 11.30am sing-a-long with Dave Miller on guitar, 11.30am - 12 coffee and chat, 12 noon bring your own lunch or order a pasty from Brenda or of course if you do not want lunch you can stay for the company. Medium Steak Pasty £3.60, Donations for coffee and biscuits in aid of Church repairs. Brenda Clarke
  • World Day of Prayer service for Penzance churches will be held at High Street on Friday 4th March, at 10.30am. Each year the service is prepared by women in different countries. Although prepared by women, the day is for women and men across the world to pray and worship together.
  • Mental Health First Aider Would you like to train as a Mental Health First Aider? This is a vital skill to support people in our churches and local communities during these challenging times. For more information, contact Howard Wilson | 07384 818343

Training day on Mission planning-The learning network south west are running a training day on mission planning in 3 centres including Truro on March 12th. You can key into the key note speakers at home. Contact one of the Stewards for details.
