For Prayer

  • All We Can” and the Methodist Church in Britain have launched an emergency appeal in response to events unfolding in Ukraine. As communities face violence, upheaval, and the trauma of war, your urgent support is needed. Working together with the Global Relationships Team of the Methodist Church in Britain, donations will be used to support the response to the crisis happening in Ukraine, and ensure that critical humanitarian assistance is available to those who need it.” There is a retiring collection TODAY for the above appeal. (There are buckets in the Foyer.)
  • Pray for Gill Ostin as she continues her treatment.
  • Please pray for Mary Holland who is home. Pray for her as she settles back home and pray that her care package will be helpful.
  • Remember Bill Edwards who is still in hospital awaiting heart surgery.
  • Pray for those who we know who are ill with Covid.

Help Please

  • Cleaners: Please can you help- There is a great shortage of people to help with cleaning the Church. It involves being part of a team and cleaning every 2 to 3 months if we have adequate people.
  • Collection Counting: There is a need for one more person to count the collection after the 10.45 service on a weekly basis and 2 more for the 5-week months and as reserves. If interested can see Paul Symons instructions and guidance.
  • Flower rota: Thanks to all those who have volunteered to take a turn on the flower rota, but there are still some spaces. Can you help?
  • Little Fishes restarts on Thursday.

Thank you

  • Margaret Baker says “Thank you” for the flowers sent for her birthday.
  • A big thank you to Beverley, Ian and Karen (Aitkins) who have done extra cleaning this week.

What’s On

  • Home Groups: There are home groups running. Are you interested in joining one or starting one ? If so, talk to Ralph or one of the Stewards.
  • Monthly Breakfast: The next one is Monday 7th March. At Family Hangout on the terrace next to Barclays Bank. For more information see Marie T.
  • Coffee mornings: Coffee morning on March 12th. 10.30 – 12 will be hosted by Jane Jones for Alzheimer’s.
  • Concert, Sunday March 6th: A free concert in the Chapel. An attractive, varied, informally introduced programme will include movements from pieces by Jonathan Dove, Finzi, Elgar, Brahms and Humperdinck. The concert will last from 3-4.pm. All the proceeds from any audience donations will go to West Cornwall Women’s Aid. All are welcome. Do invite your friends and neighbours; it will be an ideal introduction to classical music for those who might not normally attend!

WELCOMERS- We need more people to welcome people to the Church services if you can offer to welcome those who come to Church. If you have any questions about what it involves please talk to a steward. Thank you to those who have already offered.
