District and Circuit News

The Methodist District have just told us that they intend to make a presentation to Steve Wild to mark his retirement and anyone wishing to contribute is welcome to do so. Unfortunately, all contributions must be in by next Wednesday, 6th July. Contributions can be given to Alison Gunderson at the Circuit Office (any cheques should be payable to West Cornwall Methodist Circuit) or can be given to Paul Symons (01736 360789) (any cheques should be made payable to Chapel Street Methodist Church and marked SW on the back). Apologies for the short notice, but this is beyond our control. We will also put a donation tin in the foyer today if anyone would like to donate today.

Alison Gunderson is retiring as Circuit Administrator on 31st July after many years of excellent service. The Circuit are planning a presentation. Contributions can be given to Paul Symons (any cheques should be made payable to Chapel Street Methodist Church and marked AG on the back) by 17th July at the latest. We will also put a donation tin in the foyer if anyone would like to donate today.

With both the presentations, contributions can also be made direct to the church bank account marked either SW or AG. Please contact Paul Symons for details.

We have a new Circuit Administrator. Tania Bird is a member in the Lizard and Mounts Bay Circuit. This is an answer to prayer.

Help Needed

  • On Thursday 7th July in the morning we are short of helpers at Little Fishes. Please could anyone help either in the kitchen or with the families?
  • We have an URGENT need for a Church treasurer.

Truro Cathedral choristers and four primary schools have created this lovely sung blessing to support the Archbishop of Canterbury's mission to bless people in their everyday lives. They would love us to share it, or make it our own by writing a new verse. You can enjoy it at The Choristers’ and Schools’ Cornish Blessing to welcome Archbishop Welby and bless our communities.

Please could you email Doreen on if you have anything for Church Newsletter. Thank you.
